The ECLI-BG Project partners – Apis Europe and The Union of Bulgarian Jurists, have elaborated a set of training materials, which will be used in the course of a series of seminars in Sofia and the country. The set is published on the website in section “Training materials”.

The Project Management Plan foresees 28 seminars to be held during the period from September to November – one in each of the district centers of Bulgaria including an additional one in Sofia. The purpose of the seminars is to familiarize legal professionals with the current state of implementation of the European Case Law Identifier (ECLI) in Bulgaria and other EU Member States as well as the benefits of using the ECLI Search Interface and other cross-border legal information services.

The training materials are freely available and can be downloaded as PDF files. The full set includes:

  • ECLI – The European Guide to Case Law (Practical Handbook) – presents in details the ECLI Standard, the implementation process in the scope of the EU as well as the implementation in Bulgaria; it also contains useful information about a number of public and commercial cross-border legal information services
  • ECLI – The European Guide to Case Law (Presentation) – presents in short form the content of the Practical Handbook
  • Quick guide to using the ECLI Search Engine and other cross-border case law services – contains brief guidelines for using the ECLI Search Engine in the European e-Justice Portal as well as other public and commercial cross-border legal information services.
